Cars 2 is a 2011 American computer-animated action-adventure comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. It is the sequel to 2006's Cars, and the film tells the story of star race car Lightning McQueen and his friend Mater journey abroad to participate in a Grand Prix race. The path to the championship becomes troublesome when Mater gets involved in espionage.
