Battleship is a 2012 American military science fiction action film loosely based on the board game of the same name. The film was directed by Peter Berg and starred Taylor Kitsch, Rihanna, Tadanobu Asano, Alexander Skarsgård, and Liam Neeson. In the film, an international fleet of ships encounters an alien armada and discovers their destructive goals. To defeat their aim, they are forced to fight an intense battle on sea, land and air.
