Drive is a 2011 American neo-noir crime thriller film directed by Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn. The screenplay, written by Hossein Amini, is based on James Sallis' 2005 novel Drive. The film stars Ryan Gosling as an unnamed, Hollywood stunt driver moonlighting as a getaway driver. He quickly grows fond of a woman Irene who is married to a criminal. In a bid to protect her from her husband and some gangsters, he decides to cross over to the other side of the law.
